Why choose an agency over an independent caregiver?

Forever Young Home Care has several policies in place to ensure your care and protect your rights. With Forever Young you will have the right to a back up caregiver if your primary caregiver calls off work for any reason. With an independent caregiver you must secure your own back up caregiver and there is no “manager” to report any issues to. With Forever Young Home Care you are being taken care of by qualified and pre-screened individuals. We conduct a background check, driver’s license check, sexual offenders check, and other screens to be sure you receive the best care possible. We also employ the caregiver and secure liability, bonding and worker’s compensation insurance for all caregivers, as well as pay all Federal and State Taxes and Social Security.

Are you licensed by the state?

Yes! Effective January 1, 2010 any agency providing in-home services is required to obtain a home care agency license. When shopping agencies be sure they are licensed to provide the services they advertise.

What payment options do I have?

Our services are typically purchased privately. You can purchase 3 to 24 hours of service per day.  Invoices are sent out weekly and are due upon receipt. Please note that we also work with Long Term Care Insurance companies which can be billed directly for services (authorizations must be obtained before beginning services).

What do you charge for your services?

We have very competitive rates for all our services, as we only charge you for the services that you need. For example, if you only need our companion services at the beginning you’d only be charged our base rate. But as your level of care needs change, so does the rate of service.

How soon can you start services?

Generally we can start with 24 to 48 hours of the referral. Our case management team will arrange to make a free no cost/no obligation assessment visit and complete your personalized plan of care.

What areas do you serve?

We currently serve the residents of Guilford, Forsyth, Alamance, Rockingham and Davidson counties.

What if I need help after your office is closed?

We have a Client Care Coordinator, registered nurse, and administrator on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist our clients with their care needs.

How do you choose your staff?

Our staff is carefully screened prior to hire with testing, skill level assessments, reference checks, criminal background checks, DMV reporting, random drug testing, TB verification, and screening against sex offenders lists. Each caregiver is then bonded and insured through our agency. All professional staff hold current licensure with the state of North Carolina and must meet continuing education unit requirements imposed by the state of North Carolina. They must also complete monthly inservice trainings designed to provide the latest in care support techniques for in home care as well as agree to in-home training if our RN case manager feels it’s necessary for quality and continuity of care.

Do you provide assistance in Assisted Living Facilities?

Yes. People sometimes discover that the assistance provided in an assisted living facility is not enough to enable them to remain independent. In these cases, Forever Young Home Care provides a Caregiver to make this possible. We can provide care in any place you call home.

Can I change the schedule if I have a conflict?

Changes are easily accomplished with as little as a 24 hours notice. Our philosophy is to make the schedule work for the family not the agency.
